We recently became Achilles Building Confidence accredited following an external audit from Achilles. It demonstrated that our compliance levels are up to the Achilles standard and also it showed our improvement as a business against a leading standard of excellence. We also identified business improvements through a cost effective review of our management systems.
The standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement.
CHAS guarantees contractors are compliant with core H&S criteria. Members are required to meet criteria described in the CDM regulations through assessment of their H&S policy. Assessors consider each organisation on an individual basis, taking into account specific arrangements and whether they are adequate.
